Registration for Summer CALM is now open. For more information please click here. CCHS students entering grade 10 must take CALM either in the summer of 2018 or during the 2018-2019 school year. **Please note – students in grade 10 must carry a full timetable in the school year. Taking Summer CALM is a wonderful experience but will not mean students will have an open block in their grade 10 school year.

  • Grab and Go Breakfast – @ 8am in the cafeteria. Pay what you can.

Tuesday, February 13

  • Scholl Board meeting, Canmore Board Office, 7pm – All Welcome.

  • Grade 9 Boys Basketball to BCHS. Depart CCHS @ 2:45pm

Friday, February 16

  • Grab and Go Breakfast – @ 8am in the cafeteria. Pay what you can.
  • Sr. Boys Basketball to Strathmore. Depart CCHS @ 4pm
  • Last day to withdraw from courses for Semester 2 – Grade 12 0nly.

Some Key Dates you do not want to miss.

  • February 19 – 23 no classes for students. ATA teacher Convention Feb 22/23
  • February 27 – 7pm. CCHS Parent Council Meeting.  CCHS Library. All Welcome.
  •  March 2nd – Application Deadline for 29th Annual Mayor’s Awards for Volunteer Excellence. (www.canmore.ca/volunteer-awards )

How to Pay School Fees

You can pay your School Fees online through your PowerSchool/Parent Portal Account; link is on the cchs.crps.ca webpage.  Once you sign on, under Navigation click on Students Fees.  Payments can be made by Credit Card (MasterCard or VISA) and INTERAC.

If you wish to pay by Cheque or Cash, you can do so through the CCHS Main Office.

School Council and Grab and Go Breakfast Fee

The School Council and Grab & Go breakfast are optional fees that can be added to a basket -- even once the fees have already been paid.  When you sign into Parent Portal, you click on School Fees, Student will show $0 owing, you then just click on the student's tab (tab above with Students name) and then along the bottom, School Council Fee and Breakfast club show as fees that can be added to your baskets.

FCSS – Support for Parents of Teenagers.

Are you the parent of a teenager and trying to navigate this new stage of parenting? This group will discuss challenges, share strategies and create a support network for parents of teenagers. Registration is required. Learn more here.

 

Self Defense for Women - ages 14+

Come join Marc Geestman for 6 weeks of multi-facetted self-defense training. Drawn from several Martial Arts, real life scenarios and stories, women will improve awareness, confidence and abilities in a fun, action packed environment. These classes will involve physical, mental and emotional training. The class is geared toward female strengths and challenges, and will train you to become your own protector.

DATES: March 7, 14, 21, April 11, 18, 25

TIME: 7:45 - 9:45 p.m.

LOCATION: Elevation Place l Room 209

FEE: $80.00 + GST

29th Annual Mayor’s Awards for Volunteer Excellence

Here is the opportunity to recognize and thank the individuals or group of hard working volunteers who contribute to the success of your sports organization.

There are six categories of awards:

 

1.      Youth Award for Volunteer Excellence (17 yrs and younger)

2.      Adult Award for Volunteer Excellence

3.      Corporate Award for Volunteer Excellence (For profit)

4.      Corporate Award for Volunteer Excellence (Not for profit)

5.      Paul Greig Memorial Award for Environmental Stewardship

6.      Great Neighbour Award
