January 2019 – Student Exam Schedule (Click here)

*** Please remind your student to return their textbooks to the library as they complete each of their exams. Textbooks need to be returned promptly so we may prepare them for distribution to students for term 2.

With the extended exam time now in place, due to changes in provincial regulations pertaining to the amount of time students are given to complete Provincial Achievement Exams, all exams with the exception of students with accommodations (room 2405) will be written in the gym. Please remind your student of the student checklist for writing their exam.

√ DO NOT BRING Backpacks/Large Bags to the GYM. Keep them in your Locker.

√ Drop off your textbook at the Library or on the Table at the back of the gym.

√ Bring an extra layer - a light coat or sweater - it can be cool in the gym.

√ You are allowed drinks and small snacks to help you through the exam.

√ No cellphones allowed. Please leave them home or lock them in your locker.


The 2018/2019 Accountability Survey from AB Education has been mailed to a sampling of families this week. This annual check-up on the education system provides you the opportunity to provide anonymous direct feedback to the province and our school on the quality of education your child is receiving at our school. Please take the time to complete and return this survey.

Summer CALM – Held at our Outdoor Learning Centre is now open for registration. Now accepting registrations from current grade 9 students entering grade 10 in fall 2019! *** Note students entering grade 10 with CALM must still carry a full timetable in grade 10. Registration Here.

  • PLC Day Students released from class at 11:50 am
  • *** Please note, that due to changes in provincial regulations pertaining to the amount of time students are given to complete Provincial Achievement Exams, all students may now have extended time to complete all Provincial Achievement Exams (this will also include any final exams for grade 10s and 11s). Friday Jan 25th is an early release day from school and buses will not be running after the early release time. If your student requires extra time to write their exam and they use bus transportation, families will need to make alternate transportation plans for their student.

LEAD – Leadership Certification for Youth

LEAD stands for Leadership, Empowerment, Achieving a Difference. It is a certification program for youth aged 14-16, which consists of 9 modules and a 20 hour practicum placement supporting recreation programs & camps, community events, or social issues.  Participants build self-esteem and confidence through the learning modules focusing on communication, problem solving, organization, teamwork and decision making skills - all while making and working with friends! At the conclusion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion.

Dates: Tuesdays January 22, 29, Feb 5, 12, 26, Mar 5, 12, 19, 26

Time: 4:00 – 6:00 pm

Location: Elevation Place, Room 212

School Fees  

How to Pay School Fees

You can pay your School Fees online through your Power School/Parent Portal Account; link is on the webpage.  Once you sign on, under Navigation click on Student Fees.

Payment can be made by Credit Card (MasterCard and VISA) and INTERAC. 

If you wish to pay by Cheque or Cash, you can do so through the CCHS Main Office.​
