Wolverine Weekly November 8th 2024

A special thank you goes out to Mr. VanderLee for organizing such a memorable Remembrance Day Ceremony at CCHS on Thursday.  As always the meaning he brings to this special assembly provokes a great deal of empathy in our students.  In addition, a big thank you goes out to our Student Grad Committee and their teacher supporters Ms. Bittner and Ms. Anderson for organizing our first “Thrift Store” fundraiser.  We look forward to seeing our students in their purchases next week!  There are more and more post secondary opportunities being made available at this time of year.  Students can continue to speak with Mr. O in student services for post secondary advising.  We encourage you to check out the daily announcements (linked on our website under ‘quick links’) and the information at the bottom of this newsletter for more info.

Grade 9 Career Exploration Program January 20-24th 2025

This program is a key part of how Canadian Rockies Public Schools helps our youngest high school students to begin to think about their future career in a hands-on, real world way.  Students are offered a wide range of opportunities in workplaces across the Bow Valley in Lake Louise, Banff, Canmore, Exshaw, Mini Thni and Kananaskis.  We encourage parents of grade 9 students to talk to their student about the Grade 9 Career Exploration Program.  Mr. Holthuis came to visit all grade 9 classes this week to share key information.  In the letter below, you will find important details about the program as well as steps you can do to help your student become involved.
