CCHS' Learning Support Team is dedicated to creating an accessible and inclusive learning environment for every student. Using an inclusive education approach, we provide universal, targeted, and individualized supports along a continuum to ensure all students can thrive. Operating within a Collaborative Response Model, our team works closely with students, teachers, and staff to identify and implement strategies that make learning accessible for all.
Our Learning Support Teachers collaborate with classroom teachers to implement Individual Program Plans (IPPs) in accordance with Alberta Education guidelines. Families of students with existing IPPs can expect to be contacted by a Learning Support Teacher at the start of the school year. If parents or guardians have concerns about their student’s learning needs, they are encouraged to reach out to their student’s classroom teacher, who may then engage our Learning Support Team as needed.
