Valedictorian Application

Celebrating Excellence at CCHS

The role of Valedictorian is one of the highest honours a graduating student can achieve at Canmore Collegiate High School. It recognizes an individual who exemplifies academic achievement, school spirit, and leadership while representing the values and philosophy of CCHS.

Graduating students who wish to be considered for this prestigious role must meet key criteria, including strong academics, involvement in athletics, artistic pursuits, and contributions to the school or community. Candidates will also demonstrate exceptional writing and speaking abilities through a prepared valedictory address.

Applicants are required to gather nominations from five peers and two teachers, complete the application form, and submit it to the school principal in May. Candidates must also present a 5-minute speech on “Why I am proud to be a graduate of Canmore Collegiate High School.” Valedictorian Application
