Year End Message and School Start Up Info

Ms. Keon and I would like to congratulate all our graduates who participated in our ceremony this week.  It was so lovely to see you all dressed up and celebrating with your family and supporters.  We wish you all the best in your future - don't forget to keep us up to date on your achievements.  Watch out for an invite to our Awards Night Ceremony which will happen around mid November.  

We hope you all have a great summer!  We look forward to seeing all our returning and new students on August 26th.  Read on for more information.  

New Staff and Staff Moving to New Positions 

We are delighted to welcome Mr. Jared Strand who will take on Humanities 9, WILD and Outdoor Education next year.  In addition Ms. Kassandra Gamache will be joining our STEM department and teaching STEM 9 and 10 along with some Math 20. 

We wish Ms. Cayla Wolever all the best in her new position at LGMS.  Mr. Bilal Abdulghani will be joining the staff at BCHS in their Humanities department and we wish him every success in his new position there.  M. Antoine Massenavette will also be joining the junior high staff at LGMS and we know that his new students are fortunate to have him as a teacher.

We are delighted to announce that we are able to continue with our part time Post Secondary and Career Advisor position next year.  We will welcome back Mr. O to take on this position.  

School Startup

On August 26th, students will begin the school year with school start up activities in the school gym. It is anticipated that students will need to be at school for one hour.

All students will 

• Have their photos taken 
• Fill their lockers or sign up for a locker in the library 
• Ensure they remember their network username and password (main office for support)
• Pick up timetables in the gym 
• Find their class locations (self guided)

Please note that once start up activities have been completed, students then leave the school

Students returning to CCHS will follow this schedule:

• Grade 12 - 9:30am
• Grade 11 - 10:30am
• Grade 10 - noon 

Grade 9’s - from CRPS feeder schools

Start up activities for Grade 9’s begin at 1pm on August 26th in the gym

Parent Info Night and “Meet the Teacher” Open House

Thursday September 4th 2025 5-7pm

Teachers will be in classrooms from 5-7pm.  Please come round at your leisure to meet your student's teachers.
