Expanding French Learning - Pathways Beyond Grade 8 & 9

French Immersion and FSL (French as a Second Language) opportunities at Canmore Collegiate High School (CCHS) extend language learning beyond middle school, and an upcoming session will help parents and students explore their options.

On Feb. 25 from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m., CCHS is hosting a hybrid micro session to highlight pathways for students to continue their French studies. Held in person at the CCHS cafeteria and available virtually via Google Meet, the session welcomes French Immersion and Francophone families as well as those curious about FSL courses. Even students who haven’t studied French before can begin with French 10 (FSL). 

With multiple pathways available, students can continue building their language skills throughout high school, opening doors to post-secondary opportunities and future careers where bilingualism is an asset. Plan on attending!
